Espectacular. Un espacio súper íntimo, agradable y cálido, con imponente vista al canal. Como estar en una casa de los abuelos. Comimos una sopa de vieyras espectacular de entrada. De principial, pulpo y carne con salsa agridulce. Con un vino excelente y un postre sabroso también. La atención de los mozos es destacable y se acercó uno de los dueños a saludar también. Hermosa experiencia. Gastamos alrededor de $38.000, valio la pena.

The tasting menu was the best meal of my whole trip. If you sprinkle in one nice meal during your visit, this is the place to go.

Everything was cooked to perfection.

We ended up repeating the appetizers (centolla natural and ceviche de vieiras), they were just too good.

This place is worth visiting Ushuaia for.

The only con is that they only serve the centolla meat and not the whole centolla. We were looking forward to work for it and get the calda from the head.

Delicious food - particularly the scallop ceviche - and very relaxing ambience overlooking the bay with big windows. Also excellent attention to gluten free food (sin TACC) with all dishes marked clearly and most dishes absolutely fine.

Easily the best meal we had in Ushuaia. Ceviche scallops were incredible, as were the sea bass and crab bisque entrees, and probably the best ice cream I've ever had (so flavorful!). Service was excellent.

Pouca entrega para o que cobram. O menu de principais nao tinha muitas opções. Não indicaria por causa do valor (9000 pelo prato principal). Ceviche granadeiro não tem gosto de nada. Ceviche de Vieira é muito bom. Jantar mais caro de todos que fomos e o que menos valeu. Indico muito o Salitre, pratos muito bons!

La comida una delicia, la atención de lujo. Los precios me parecieron excesivamente caros en comparación con otros resto a los que fui y comí muy bien también. El promedio de gasto en la cena es de 17000 pesos aprox. Pero bueno, se destaca por ser gourmet.

Absolutely loved the food and the impeccable yet warm service. For 2 adults we ordered the tasting and for the kids they've recommended us a suitable set of a la carte. The tasting was the right choice, everything was delicious and non-flashy-but-subtle. Kids totally loved octopus, crab and beef. Sea bass was mind blowing. The service was invisible, warm, swift and smooth; waiters served our kids stately, respectfully and with just a right amount of humor. We plan to return to Ushuaia in winter, and we'll definitely come to Kaupé again.

Pros:
-Best crab I've ever had (crab kaupe). Scallop ceviche was also excellent. Both tasted super fresh.
-Beautiful views of the harbor.
-Attentive service.
-If you're looking for a fancy, formal dinner (or a tasting menu in Ushuaia), this is it.

Cons:
-Way too stiff and formal for our taste. I brought my water bottle to drink out of (which I've done pretty much everywhere in South America), and they made a big scene about it. They also refused to bring me tap water, and instead made me buy bottled water.

You can tell a lot about a place by the people that work there.

Kaupé May take the prize for my favorite restaurant on this 3-week trip to Patagonia region. Definitely the best restaurant in Ushuaia.

Service was on par with a Michelin rated restaurant. The food was directly behind it.

What a truly amazing experience. First of all, the food was fantastic. We took 2 tasting menus without wine since we don’t drink. Plus separate dishes for kids. Everything was perfect and such a pleasure. We loved the views and setting too. The best thing was service. Waiters were so smooth, we met owners, everyone made us feel truly welcome and relaxed. It was a very special experience. And we are not easy guests - we came with 3 young tired kids! We loved this place so much and dinner in there will stay in my best memories box. Atendimento e comida muito bons, excelente opção para quem gosta de frutos do mar. Só não sei 5 estrelas pois o ambiente não é muito aconchegante, é bem formal. É um restaurante mais caro pro padrão de Ushuaia, mas vale a pena. Recomendo reservar, são poucas mesas.

Un desastre, declaran alta cocina y se come mejor en cualquier bodegón. Carne hervida, pulpo completamente sin sabor. Recomiendo mil veces antes el restaurant del Chez Manu.

Excelencia gastronómica! La centolla Kaupé un manjar. Ambientación y calidez en su máximo esplendor. No se lo pueden perder.

Ruim, a "Dona" nos recebeu dizendo que estávamos atrasados, 18 minutos, e que teríamos de desocupar a mesa as 10hs.não ficamos.

Dona mal educada, restaurante pequeno, tem que comer em 1h30 no restaurante, se não não te permitem ficar. Horrível. Não recomendo.

El lugar es elegante, pequeño, ideal para comidas íntimas. Tiene una muy linda vista a la bahía.
En mi caso cené merluza negra con papas, salvia, limón y pimienta, todo de gusto muy suave. El precio me pareció un tanto excesivo en comparación a otros restaurantes de la ciudad que ofrecen platos similares.
El sitio no ofrece wi fi.

A gente reservou pras 20h, chegamos as 20: 26, e a Dona falou que a gente tinha que sair as 22h pq ela havia reservado a mesma mesa. Mesmo se tivessemos chegado no horário certo teriamos só 2h de jantar, em 6 pessoas. Como que funciona isso? Que ridículo.

Pedí el menú de degustación y creo que fue la mejor opción para probar platos diferentes!

Excelente comida. Impecable el servicio. Muy linda ambientación y vista. Gran oferta de vinos. Si bien no es barato, antes de ver la carta, pensé que era mas caro. Increíble el ceviche de vieiras y la marquise de chocolate.

This restaurant was recommended to my girlfriend and I by a local, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. We were promptly seated at a table with an amazing view overlooking the water. We started with a delicious bottle of malbec, and two appetizers. Our waitress recommended the scallop ceviche, which was delicious, and we also got natural king crab. For dinner, I got the King Crab in a sauce/soup, and my girlfriend got the Chilean sea bass. We essentially split both entrees because we equally loved the taste of both of them. The waitstaff was extremely tentative to our table, constantly making sure we had enough water, bread, and wine. Luckily we had room for an amazing chocolate dessert. Yes it’s a bit of a walk up the hill, and a bit pricey, but with the views, service, and food, you truly get what you pay for. HIGHLY recommend

Fuimos a sentarnos para comer un postre y no nos quisieron atender. Estábamos dentro del horario y había mesas vacías. Nos dijeron que solo si comíamos por ser un restaurante. La verdad nunca me había pasado. No lo recomiendo. Nos atendío una señora rubia mayor imagino que puede ser la dueña. Todavía no encuentro justificativo más que querer perder dinero y potenciales clientes. No volveremos a entrar.

Uma casa fora do centro bem decorada e ambiente bem clean e agradável.
O cardápio é bem limitado com apenas uns sete pratos. Sugestão do dia era o polvo grelhado, mas por USD 34 achamos não valeria a pena.
Outra opção era o menu degustação que só poderia ser servido se todos da mesa quisessem. Meio estranho!
De entrada pedimos o carpaccio que estava muito bom!
Pedimos então ojo de bife com molho de pimenta que estava realmente delicioso e o frango que estava seco e com muito curry.
Carta de vinhos bem honesta e com ótimos preços para vinhos top!

We tried three different seafood restaurants in Ushuaia and this place doesn’t even compare to the rest. The location is beautiful and the people working there are lovely and attentive. The food was incredible. The appetizer and main with crab were both really good, but I was surprised by the cod. It’s a simple dish, perfectly cooked with basic ingredients perfectly combined to refine the flavor of the fish. To end the dinner my sister had not one but two chocolate with dulche de leche bars.they say it’s pricey, but only if you compare it to other Argentinian restaurants. For European or American standards this is a memorable dinner for $40 per person (including wine).

Boa comida e bom ambiente, mas expecificamente a merluza negra não vale a pena, $34 Dolares por um prato desse peixe com uma mini posta e tres pedaços de batata, não vale a pena.
Já estivemos na cidades outras vezes e não conheciamos o local, certamente não voltaremos, não vale pelo custo beneficio, existem outras opções na região com preços mais justos e comida de qualidade superior ou equivalente.

A very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent as well as the service. The staff was always very attentive. Elegant and classic. Certainly recommended. A bit on the expensive side though.

Nicely done French seafood restaurant. We came here for lunch and for the entire 2 hours we spent here, we are the only people in the restaurant so it's almost like a private dining experience lol. We ordered a lot of seafood (see pictures) and they are all very very fresh and well made. I really liked the Antarctica scallop and the octopus. Since Ushuaia is a very touristy place, this place is actually one of the most expensive meal we had in our 11-day trip to Patagonia. Totaled about 5000 Argentina peso, which is actually not bad for US dollars. I highly recommend this place.

This was an Ushuaia favorite for me. Some of the best seafood I've had in my life! Everything tasted amazing and the presentation was also impeccable.

To be honest, quite cold. I was the only one in the place and the attention was minimal. I always had to ask what I was eating, otherwise no word was said. The food was well done, but the flavors presented where known. Things that I found in simpler places with few exceptions (like the octopus carpachio that was excellent) where nicely presented but no twist in them. Honestly, extremely overpriced for that kind of experience. For that price I would like to know the name of the I've attending me without the need to ask!
